In 1982 our NEW Constitution was stated to be a "living document" that was to be the "law of our land".
A living document generally evolves and changes as the needs of the people it is intended to serve and protect change.
If we are successful in obtaining our rightful place as the Collective Head of State, it will be up to all Citizens and Indigenous People to decide together what the changes will be.
How would this be done?
It would start with referendums on all the current issues facing us today that are a result of the legislation in our constitution.
Decisions on how this would happen would also be done via public input and committees across Canada.
Democracy is only possible if those utilizing it are educated on how it works, how their government works, how their parliamentary system works, etc.
We recommend you read the book "Power Shift: From Party Elites to Informed Citizens" by Vaughan Lyon
This book is a blueprint on how to make all this work with Citizen Committees in every riding across Canada. This is something we've discussed several times as needed, and what we've been asking people to join and build, as signatures grow.
The main point is, for the first time, Citizens and Indigenous People will be actively involved in our own self-determination and governance...365 days a year. Elections will not take our individual or collective right to this away until the next election.
